Nordic Coffee Fest – A place for the specialty coffee community
The Nordic Coffee Fest is one of the most important events for the coffee industry in Scandinavia. Over the years, it has grown into one of Northern Europe’s largest specialty coffee events. Each year, baristas, roasters, manufacturers, and coffee enthusiasts travel to Gothenburg to connect, explore the latest trends, and showcase their products and innovations.
The festival is much more than a typical trade show. Visitors can attend workshops, listen to presentations, participate in tastings, and experience live coffee events. This makes the festival a central meeting point for everyone who appreciates specialty coffee and craftsmanship. The Nordic Coffee Fest brings together expertise, creativity, and passion, showcasing the vibrancy of the Scandinavian specialty coffee community.
Pre-Fest and Latte Art Throwdown
Before the official start of the Nordic Coffee Fest, the Pre-Fest set the stage for an exciting festival weekend. Sponsored by Kaffelabbet, Oatly, and ECM, the creative district of Ringön quickly filled with the international specialty coffee community. Between street food, drinks from Vega Bryggeriet, live music, and lively conversations, a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere emerged.
The evening’s highlight was the highly anticipated Latte Art Throwdown. On stage, talented baristas showcased their skills, pouring perfectly frothed milk into intricate designs and captivating the audience with impressive precision. In the end, the Swedish barista Julia Bergenstråle emerged victorious, impressing everyone with her technique and taking home an ECM Puristika.

ECM was also prominently featured throughout the festival. Our Swedish dealer Kaffelabbet showcased the latest ECM Home Line machines: the Estetika and the Technika VI. Visitors had the chance to test the machines on site, and discuss technical features and design details. Our team was also present, working alongside Kaffelabbet to connect directly with the specialty coffee community in Sweden. This created a lively exchange that brought the passion for specialty coffee and true craftsmanship to life.
